From video recording interviews to editing and sound mixing, I can take most any video project from start to finish – be it a DVD or flash video for web delivery.
Whether it is a talking head interview, or something more dramatic such as a factory or the great outdoors, I can deliver excellent footage with special attention paid to capturing clean audio.
I rely my journalistic skills to interview people on camera and use my natural story telling skills when editing footage with Final Cut Studio. Naturally, everything I shoot is in high definition and 16:9 widescreen.

Tourism video promoting Rodney
This video was produced to promote Rodney, a district north of Auckland. The video was edited by Steve Hart using a mixture of original footage shot by him on location and stock footage.

The Victoria Theatre, Devonport
Researched, recorded and edited by Steve Hart, this documentary charts the history of the oldest cinema in the Southern Hemisphere and the campaign to stop it being pulled down and replaced with a car park. This video was broadcast on Sky TV’s Arts Channel.

The Vaughan Homestead, Auckland
One of the oldest families on Auckland’s North Shore are the Vaughans. This documentary, produced by Steve Hart, covers the life and times of this family from 1863 to the present day. The fight to stop their former home being pulled down and the campaign to prevent their former 1200 acre farm, on prime coastal land, being turned over to developers. To complete this video Steve carried out research, interviewed people on camera, edited the footage and produced a DVD.

Promo for a canning plant
After deciding on a detailed shooting list with the client, we went in to record each part of the process of this busy canning plant. We completed recording in five hours without affecting the operation of the plant and completed the first cut of the video the next day.
True Happiness DVD
The True Happiness DVD was recorded, edited and audio mixed by Steve Hart from 13 hours of interviews. The video features leading motivational speakers offering advice on depression, careers and highlighting that more money doesn’t always translate into more happiness. Steve recorded the interviews, lit the set and exported the final video to DVD.
