Steve’s early career was as a night club DJ and radio show host working across the UK counties of Essex and Kent, as well as London during the 1980s and early 90s.
Having completed his training as a news reporter in his mid 20s he worked in the newsrooms at both BBC Essex and competing commercial station Radio Essex.
A sideways move into newspaper journalism meant he left radio behind, but in 2008 he launched his first podcast.
In 2013 he launched a weekly show of 80s dance music, and having done his dash with that format after three years, Steve launched a weekly jazz show that’s syndicated to more than 80 FM and digital broadcasters worldwide.
And with the emergence of internet radio Steve launched two stations along with associated websites, developed station branding, music format, and logo artwork.
In addition Steve launched Instant Radio Station as a free resource for anyone wanting to start a hobby or community radio station.
